Vladimir Putin signed the decree “On the order of entry into the Russian Federation and departure from the Russian Federation of foreign citizens and stateless persons in connection with international sports competitions.”
The full text of the Decree:
In accordance with parts one and two of Article 24 of the Federal Law of August 15, 1996 No. 114-FZ “On the procedure for leaving the Russian Federation and entry into the Russian Federation” I decree:
1. To establish that participants of international sports competitions (athletes, coaches, team leaders and other members of foreign official delegations, as well as sports judges and other officials authorized by the organizer of the international sports competition) from foreign citizens and stateless persons enter the Russian Federation and departure from the Russian Federation without visas on the basis of valid identity documents and recognized by the Russian Federation in this capacity ve and accreditation certificate prescribed form issued by the organizer of an international sporting event, unless otherwise provided by federal law.
Form accreditation certificate established organizer of international sporting events in coordination with the Federal Security Service.
2. The list of international sports competitions and the terms of stay of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Russian Federation in connection with participation in such competitions are approved by the Government of the Russian Federation.
3. The Government of the Russian Federation to ensure that the established order of carrying out activities aimed at the implementation of this Decree.
4. This Decree shall enter into force on the day of its signing.
